For example, if you are purchasing a cover for an 18x18 insert, purchase a 18 x18 cover, 20x20, a 20x20 cover and so on. Pillow Covers are made slightly smaller than the size indicated to ensure a good fit. (i.e. an 18x18 pillow cover will measure approximately 17x17) -20x20 covers are sewn at 19x19. Otherwise, the fabric will hang on the cover and look sloppy.
